Prof. Dr. Harald zur Hausen the 2008 Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine 2008 passed away on May 29, 2023.

“The focus of my research for the past 50 years has been how cancer is caused by viruses and how we can protect ourselves. Today through early vaccination of young people, we can avoid many cancers triggered by HPV. Nicola Werner’s initiative is important in order to spread this knowledge so that everyone has access to this vaccination.” (2018 for The NWC)
